(from left to right: streetlight, metro sparkle, evening shadow, dusk) The other day i went to walgreens thinking i was either going to get the 'shimmering sands' trio or the 'cafe au lait' trio, but when i got there they were all out of shimmering sands and even though they and teh cafe au lait one, i saw this one which had the three colors of that one plus one more! And they were the same price, so of course i got this one!
In case the lighting alters them a bit, i will explain the colors. Streetlight is a shimmery (but not glittery) white meant to be used for the highlight. I really enjoy this color, because i like to have the bit of shimmer on my brow bone but it is hard to find without glitter, and all the colors are quite pigmented. Metro Sparkle is a VERY sparkly, VERY light pink, but i think it is adorable! It is great for fair skin, which is what i have in the winter. Evening Shadow is a very shiny (not glittery) light brown with sort of pink undertones. Dusk is my least favorite of the bunch, it does look pretty in the crease with Metro Sparkle on the lid, but it is a very grey lilac and is the least pigmented out of all of them.
to give you a better idea of the color Evening Shadow, i found that it was almost identical to a mix of MAC's 'Mulch' and 'Naked Lunch'(from left to right: Mulch, Naked Lunch, Naked Lunch on top of Mulch, Evening Shadow)

As you can see, it does come out quite neutral, but it is still glittery (not totally visible in the image) and fun! I really do recommend this palette and can't wait to try more of the Cover Girl Shadows!

This one looks good! The only CG Eyeshadow Palette I have is Shimmering Sands! Really popular haha I only bought it because Allthatglitters21 recommended it so much!

ReplyDeleteI usually just use the Metro Sparkle on the lid, with the Evening Shadow as the crease and the outer corner, with the Streetlight as the highlight:D
